Connect Clay when an answer in Rippit should turn into accounts and people to act on: the companies behind a spike in cancellation tickets, the right contacts at accounts your support team flagged, or firmographics for the customers in an analysis. The Rippit agent searches and enriches through your Clay workspace, so results use your Clay data providers, functions, and credits.

What the agent gets

  • Search Clay’s company and people data by industry, size, location, role, title, or name, and page through results.
  • Enrich companies and contacts from a search with more data points.
  • Run functions your Clay team has built and enabled for MCP.
  • Query Clay Audiences for accounts, contacts, and deals, on Clay Enterprise.
  • Check which Clay workspace the connection uses and whether credits are available.

Setup

Click Connect under Connections → MCP Servers, sign in to Clay, and pick the Clay workspace to connect. Rippit registers itself automatically, so there is no client ID, client secret, or API key to enter. See Clay’s guide for details. Before you share the connection, a Clay admin should set a credit limit on the MCP page in Clay. One request to the agent can run several searches and enrichments, and each one spends Clay credits.

Identity and scope

The connection acts as the Clay user who signed in, in the Clay workspace they picked. If you share the connection organization-wide, everyone using the agent searches, enriches, and runs functions as that person, against that person’s credit limit.

Tools

Searching, paging through results, and checking credits start enabled. Search tools spend Clay credits even though they don’t change anything in Clay. Adding data points to companies or contacts and running functions start disabled. They spend credits, and a function can write to other systems your Clay team connected, such as a CRM or a sequencer. Turn them on under Manage tools on the connection card when you want the agent to use them.
