Two steps: connect Rippit once, then select it in each conversation where you want it.

Before you start

  • Your admin must have created and published the Rippit app. If Rippit isn’t in your list below, that’s why. See Admin setup.
  • You need your own Rippit account. Your admin’s setup doesn’t grant you data access.

1. Connect Rippit once

  1. Click your profile icon, then Settings.
  2. Open Plugins (your build may call it Apps or Apps & Connectors; it’s the same screen).
  3. Find Rippit in the list and click the row to open it.
  4. Click Connect. If Rippit’s toggle is already switched on, that only means it’s available to you; you still have to click Connect before it can read your data.
  5. Sign in at app.rippit.com and approve access. The consent screen describes the app as unverified with self-reported details, which is normal for this kind of connection; see Security.

2. Select it in each conversation

ChatGPT only uses Rippit when it’s selected for the conversation you’re in:
  • New chat: select Rippit beneath the message composer.
  • Existing chat: click + (tools menu), then choose Rippit.
Then ask normally:

Asking good questions

Rippit’s strength is judgment over conversation transcripts, not just counting rows, so “why are customers frustrated about billing” gets more out of it than “count tickets tagged billing”. See What Rippit can do for AI assistants.
