Perplexity can use Rippit as a custom remote connector, for yourself or shared across an Enterprise organization.

Add Rippit for yourself

  1. In the Perplexity sidebar, open Plugins (on older layouts, Customize, then Connectors).
  2. Select Add custom, then Connector, then Add MCP connector.
  3. Select Remote and fill in: Leave Client ID and Client Secret blank. Perplexity registers itself with Rippit automatically.
  4. Check the acknowledgement box and select Add.
  5. Select the Rippit card on the Plugins page and sign in to Rippit in the browser window that opens. Finish signing in before you close that tab.

Add Rippit for your organization (Enterprise admin)

  1. Go to Enterprise settings, then Permissions, then Connectors permissions.
  2. Select + Custom connector, choose Remote, and fill in the same values as above.
  3. Check the acknowledgement box and select Add.
  4. Share the connector with your organization from the Permissions screen. Members can’t see it until you do, and it can take a little while to appear for them.
Have each member sign in with their own Rippit account rather than signing in once for the whole organization. That way every answer is scoped to the asking person’s Rippit permissions. If members should be able to add Rippit themselves, turn on Allow members to add custom connectors under Enterprise settings, then Connectors, then Connector permissions. It is off by default.
