Grok Bot runs each Bot on its own cloud computer and signs in with your Cursor account. A Bot can add an MCP server that isn’t in its app catalog by URL, so you set up Rippit by asking in chat.

Add Rippit

  1. In a chat with your Bot, ask it to add Rippit, for example: “Add the Rippit MCP server at https://mcp.rippit.com/mcp”.
  2. When prompted to Authorize or Authenticate, sign in to Rippit in the browser window that opens and approve the connection.
  3. If sign-in doesn’t finish, choose Reconnect (or Reopen on the in-chat card) and try again.
Rippit doesn’t need a client ID, secret, API key, or header. Don’t paste keys or tokens into chat.

Use Rippit in a task

In chat, type @ and choose Rippit to attach it to a task.

Things to know

Apps are account-wide. Once Rippit is connected, every Bot you run can use it. A teammate’s shared Bot asks before it uses your connection. Check the connection. Installed apps are listed under Connect apps in the sidebar. On mobile, tap your avatar in the top left, then Connect apps. Added means Rippit is installed, not that you are signed in. If it shows Needs auth or Disconnected, choose Authenticate (Authorize on the phone). Your Bot never sees your Rippit tokens. They are held on Cursor’s connector backend. Cursor teams. If team policy blocks Rippit, it shows Disabled by team admin. Admins manage this on the Cursor dashboard’s Plugins & MCPs page.
