# Firecrawl

> Use Firecrawl in a Rippit research table to find people who match your brief and look up their work email and phone number.

Firecrawl is the default provider for **people search** in Rippit. It finds people who match your brief and can look up their work email and phone number in the same run. For how research tables work overall, see [How research tables work](https://docs.rippit.com/research/overview.md).

## Setup

None. Firecrawl is built into Rippit, so you don't need a Firecrawl account or API key.

## How it works

1. **Describe who you want** in the research brief: roles, seniority, company size or industry, locations, and anyone to exclude.
2. **Rippit searches Firecrawl** for candidates, then checks each one against your brief and keeps only the people who match.
3. **Contact lookup runs last**, and only if you asked for it. Rippit asks before your first sample whether you want work email, phone number, both, or neither. Neither is the default.

To research people at each company in a list, split the table on a company column and add `{{value}}` to the brief. Rippit runs the search once per company.

## What each row holds

| Field | Notes |
| - | - |
| Name, role, company, company domain, location | From the matched profile |
| Profile link | A link to the person's public profile |
| Why they match | A short reason tied to your brief |
| Work email and phone | Only when requested |
| Email and phone lookup status | Found, outdated after an employer change, not found, failed, uncertain, or not requested |

A person stays in the table even when their contact lookup comes back empty. Rippit marks a contact detail as verified only when Firecrawl reports it that way.

## Limits

| | |
| - | - |
| People per input | 100 by default, up to 500 |
| Samples | Up to three inputs, and the contact fields you asked for also apply |
| Provider lock | The provider is fixed after a table's first live run. Create a new table to switch |

Counts are a maximum, not a guarantee. A narrow brief can return fewer people.

## Cost

Contact lookups use Firecrawl credits on top of the AI credits for the research. The table shows the provider credits each run used. Recurring runs keep track of people they already found, so a scheduled table doesn't pay to look up the same person twice.
