# Runlayer

> Add Rippit as a connector in the Runlayer MCP gateway.

If your organization routes AI assistants through Runlayer, add Rippit there once as a connector. Your people then reach Rippit through Runlayer from whichever assistant they use, under your Runlayer policies.

## Add the connector (Runlayer admin)

1. In Runlayer, open **Manage connectors** and select **Add connector**, then **Create New**.

2. Fill in:

   | Field | Value |
   | - | - |
   | Name | `Rippit` |
   | URL or Command | `https://mcp.rippit.com/mcp` |
   | Transport type | Streaming HTTP |
   | Authentication | OAuth 2.1 (or **Auto**) |

Rippit supports dynamic client registration, so there is no client ID or secret to enter.

3. Select **Create**.

4. Add Rippit to your Runlayer Plugin, or approve it under your Runlayer policies, so members can find it.

## Connect as a user

1. Open the Rippit connector in Runlayer and select **Add to Client**, then follow the steps for your assistant.
2. Sign in to Rippit when prompted. In Claude and ChatGPT, Runlayer posts a sign-in link in the chat on the first Rippit request; sign in, then ask again. Cursor, VS Code, and Codex open the sign-in themselves.

Each person signs in with their own Rippit account, once, and every answer is scoped to that person's Rippit permissions.
