# Notion

> Connect Rippit to a Notion Custom Agent as a custom MCP server.

Notion Custom Agents can call Rippit as a custom MCP server. This needs a Notion Business or Enterprise plan.

## Allow the server (workspace admin)

Notion blocks custom MCP servers until an admin turns them on.

1. Go to **Settings**, then **Connections**.
2. On the **Manage** tab, turn on **Enable custom MCP servers**.
3. If your workspace limits which connections members can install (**Approved & recommended** or **Approved only**), select **Approved connections**, then **Add approved connection**.
4. Choose **Custom MCP server**, enter `https://mcp.rippit.com/mcp`, and select **Save**.

## Add Rippit to an agent

1. Open the Custom Agent's **Settings**.
2. Go to **Tools & Access**.
3. Select **Add connection**, then **Custom MCP server**.
4. Enter `https://mcp.rippit.com/mcp` as the server URL and `Rippit` as the display name.
5. Choose OAuth for authentication. Leave any client ID, secret, or API key fields blank.
6. Select **Connect**, then sign in to Rippit in the browser window that opens.

Notion registers itself with Rippit automatically, so there is nothing to set up on the Rippit side.

## Things to know

**Each agent has its own sign-in.** A connection belongs to one Custom Agent and uses the Rippit account of the person who connected it. Anyone who chats with that agent sees what that Rippit account can see. Connect each agent with an account whose access fits everyone who will use it.

**Tool settings.** Expand the Rippit connection under **Tools & Access** to turn individual tools on or off and choose whether each one runs automatically or asks first. Only the person who connected Rippit can change these.
